Bangalore, INDIA, July 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- TUV Rheinland, a global leader in independent technical services, has announced that its product testing laboratories in India have been accredited by the Indian Ministry of Communication's Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) to conduct testing under the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) regulations which includes the additional three product categories under Phase II. The additions include Transmission Terminal Equipment (SDH Equipment, Multiplexing Equipment), PON family of Broadband Equipment (PON ONT, PON ONU, and PON OLT), and Feedback devices.
MTCTE Phase II testing shall be mandatory with effect from 1st October 2020 and is applicable for all original equipment manufacturers (OEM)/Importers/Dealers who sell or import any telecom equipment in India. Testing is to be conducted with a TEC recognized laboratory & the certificate will be issued by Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC).
