Jeff You said, "Since its establishment in 2021, EXENCELL has been committed to becoming a leader in the global high-end energy storage cell market. We at all times adhere to the concept of green and low-carbon development. All our production bases have been positioned as 'zero-carbon factories' from the beginning of planning, and we strive to control energy consumption and improve energy efficiency during the construction and operation of the factories, while strengthening the carbon emission management of the entire product life cycle. We are honored to have reached a strategic cooperation with TÜV Rheinland, and believe that with the help of TÜV Rheinland, EXENCELL will be able to better implement the mission of 'empowering clean energy' so as to further optimize products, deploy strategies, and build brands, promoting more premium green energy storage products to go overseas and jointly facilitating the high-quality and sustainable development of the new energy industry, especially the new energy storage industry."

Fang Weimin stated, "In the context of the global energy revolution, the energy storage market is accelerating its rise, and the development of new energy storage is imperative. It has become a global consensus to promote the energy revolution and build a new power system dominated by new energy sources. In recent years, the development of the domestic new energy storage industry has become even more rapid. With its advantages of fast response, flexible configuration, and short construction cycle, the new energy storage industry provides important support for achieving the 'dual-carbon' goals and is the inevitable pathway for the transformation and upgrading of the whole energy storage industry. We are delighted to forge a strategic partnership with EXENCELL. In the future, TÜV Rheinland will continue to leverage its advantages in technology, talent, resources, and branding to help EXENCELL drive the rapid development of the energy storage industry, and to inject strong energy into the construction of a clean and low-carbon new energy system as well as into the deepening of the energy revolution. We will fully support the realization of the 'dual-carbon' goals."

The two companies are focusing on EXENCELL's three major production bases in Mianyang, Sichuan province, Zhuhai, Guangdong province, and Dali, Yunnan province, advancing the basic certifications such as ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System. They are also simultaneously working on certifications related to sustainable development, including Zero-carbon Factory, ISO 14064-1 Organizational Carbon Verification, ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System. As of now, EXENCELL's Mianyang base has obtained a low-carbon (operation for new construction building) outstanding certificate under the Net-zero Carbon Building Certification assessment system issued by TÜV Rheinland, in partnership with the Building Research Establishment, making it the first industrial plant project in China to receive this certification. The Net-zero Carbon Building Certification assessment for its Zhuhai base is also underway.

A new round of global technological revolution and industrial transformation is currently booming, and new energy technologies are being upgraded at an unprecedented speed, becoming the core driving force for global energy transformation. In 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the "14th Five-Year Plan: New Energy Storage Development Implementation Plan (2021-2025)", proposing that by 2025, new energy storage will move from the initial stage of commercialization to the stage of large-scale development, with the conditions appropriate for large-scale commercial application; by 2030, new energy storage will be fully market-oriented. The core technology and equipment for new energy storage are independently controllable, and the technology innovation and industrial level are among the top in the world. The market mechanism, business model, and standards system are mature and sound, and deeply integrated with all aspects of the power system, meeting the basic needs of building a new power system and fully supporting the timely realization of the carbon peak goal in the energy field.

As the world's leading technical service provider, TÜV Rheinland has over 15 years of rich experience in energy conservation, environmental protection, and carbon reduction. It is a greenhouse gas audit and certification body authorized and recognized by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS), the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt), and the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF). It can provide services covering the entire lifecycle of energy consumption, carbon emission data collection, modeling quantitative indicators, and assessment, for industries such as automotive, chemical, photovoltaics, electronic and electrical, real estate, batteries, and construction materials, involving raw materials, design and development, production process, product recycling, etc. To date, TÜV Rheinland has successfully registered and applied for international EPD and Italian EPD, and provided LCA, product carbon footprint verification, organizational carbon footprint verification, and various other services for many Chinese enterprises.
