NEW YORK, Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of the 10th Anniversary, Business Ventures, Inc (BVI) will host the company's first gold mine tour in January, 2018 at Pahang, Malaysia.
Distinguished Chinese and Japanese guests and investors will be hosted by Mr Howard Blankfein, Chief Executive Officer of BVI, and Stephen Drexler, Chief Investment Officer of BVI, where they will get a firsthand experience of the process of gold mining.
The approximately 14-hectare open-cut mine is located in the Malaysian state of Pahang. Under the management of BVI, the mine has confirmed output of 3 metric tonnes of gold, to date. The total estimated production output is 22 metric tonnes, which is approximately 20-30% more than other mines in the region. The mine is located within the Central Belt of Peninsular Malaysia, which has been the most productive gold production region in all of Malaysia.
"We are extremely excited about our first mine visit in Malaysia. This is an opportunity for guests to see an open-cut gold mine first hand, as well as a symbolic indication of where our company is heading. This BVI's tenth anniversary, and it is no coincidence that we have chosen Asia to celebrate this milestone," said Howard Blankfein. We have received interest in the mine visit from more than twice the initial estimated numbers of guests."
BVI have taken this step as the company have long believed in the long-term potential for gold, which has been substantiated by the increased demand for the safe-haven mineral in 2016. BVI have identified the resource, among others, as a core focus of its strategy over the next five years.
