Visitors arriving in Vietnam to make medical declaration online using Viettel-built system

HANOI, Vietnam, March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Visitors arriving in Vietnam can file medical declaration using the online form accessible on suckhoetoandan.vn/khaiyte or tokhaiyte.vn or by scanning the QR code provided at the point of entry with their phone. The Health Declaration Management System used in the progress was developed by Viettel Business Solutions, a member of Viettel Group, in 48 hours following request from the Vietnamese government and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control.

Additionally, from 3:00 a.m. on March 7, Viettel Business Solutions' personnel has been aiding local authorities and at Tan Son Nhat airport specifically to help passengers and officers completing the medical declaration. After one day of operation, the system received 10,000 declarations.

On March 4th, the Government of Vietnam and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 requested Viettel to collaborate with the Ministry of Public Health to build a medical declaration management system. The request specifies the system must be developed in 48 hours maximum and be ready to serve all passengers entering Vietnam from 6:00 a.m. on March 7. Following the request, Viettel has finished developing and, from 0:00 a.m. on March 7th, has deployed the system at Tan Son Nhat airport.

The system provides 2 electronical forms: one for visitors and another for the general public to submit medical information at all border gates and airports. The information provided will be sent back to Vietnamese disease control centers and authorities in order to prevent and control the coronavirus disease. The system also provides management, reporting services to the authorities and gives updated statistics and health advices to the public.

Director of Viettel Business Solutions, Nguyen Manh Ho, said: "We are concentrating efforts in order to build other I.T. solutions to assist the Ministry of Public Health to prevent and control COVID-19 infection in the most effective manner."
