The ranking was based on over 2,000 surveys completed by consumers aged between 18 and 55 in eight markets outside of China. The surveys comprehensively evaluated the brand awareness, relevance, and reputation of Chinese companies in major global markets, as well as their brand influence based on Facebook data.

"This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our global team to bring access to financial services to the underserved using advanced technology." The 2018 Top 50 Chinese Global Brands follows other recent recognitions such as being named to KPMG's list of the 50 Leading Global Fintech Innovators for four successive years from 2014 to 2017, as well as CB Insights' 2017 Fintech 250 list in 2017.
