(ZPMC), the world's largest port machinery manufacturer, has kickstarted a research and application project for a jack-up platform central control system (the "System") in collaboration with renowned heavy equipment manufacturers in China. The project recently successfully passed inspection and acceptance by the Industry Development Center of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
With proprietary intellectual property rights and patented technologies, the System is mainly applied in wind power installation platform projects to further support the comprehensive management of a platform's operating status and improve the risk coverage, integration and safety performance of the jack-up platform's vessel management system.
The successful acceptance has affirmed ZPMC's breakthroughs in the R&D of marine engineering equipment and technologies, strengthening the company's confidence in promoting industry development driven by technological innovations.
The central control and system cover the whole lifecycle of offshore wind turbine installation vessels and throughout the construction process, achieving process control, safety management and alarm monitoring to ensure the safe operation needs such as overall monitoring, debugging, setup, workflow planning and maintenance are met.
It has successfully been applied in the 2,000-ton wind farm installation platform "Long yuan Zhenhua No.3" and with full deliverables specified by the research project meeting all technical performance indicators.
