Aedas Announces Ken Wai's New Role as Managing Director, China

HONG KONG, March 2 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Aedas announces the appointment of Executive Director, Ken Wai as the Managing Director, China. Ken has been leading the drive for projects in China and will continue to devote his energy to develop Aedas as a leading international design practice dedicated to high quality contemporary modern design.

With over 20 years of professional experience in architecture, Ken has been responsible for project design and management, specializing in large-scale institutional, infrastructure, high quality commercial and residential projects. He has been involved in the design of various iconic buildings around the world, including numerous large scale commercial and hospitality projects throughout China.

His recently completed projects include the award-winning Xiamen International Cruise Terminal, the R&F City Commercial Complex including a Renaissance Hotel with office and retail components in Beijing and the SkyCity Marriott Hotel at the Hong Kong International Airport. Ken's design of the R&F Centre in Guangzhou, which was shortlisted in MIPIM 2008 under the 'Business Centre' Category, had won praises from both client and the international press. He has also taken up special design commissions, in particular, private residence such as 350 Tai Hang Road and Sai Kung Silverstand Private that are unique architectural statement. Ken also has PRC Class 1 Registered Architect Qualification.

As the Managing Director of China, Ken will assume the responsibility of Mr. Charles Lee, General Manager and Director of Beijing Director who resigned with effect from 25 March 2010. Charles has been a Director of Aedas Beijing for the past six years and made valuable contribution in the development of the company.
