SHANGHAI, June 9 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The International Green Energy Forum will be held on June 19th and the 20th at Westin Hotel in Shanghai, China, during the San Francisco Week (June 17th - 25th, 2010) at The World Expo. in Shanghai to celebrate the 30 years of San Francisco-Shanghai Sister City and in conjunction to The Third Annual US-China Green Energy Conference to be held on June 21st - 23rd in Suzhou, China. The Forum brings together the policy makers from the government, industry leaders, academic researchers, and global investors to discuss the technology and market trends of green and clean technology, promote joint research, facilitate international collaboration: technologies meets markets and money meets innovation. The Forum is organized by UC-China Green Energy Council (UCGEC) and VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. Established in 2008, UCGEC is a non-profit organization to facilitate and sponsor high impact green energy collaboration initiatives and projects between US and China.

To facilitate the interaction among different disciplines and to provide landscape of green energy industry, the forum will run single track in the form of panel sessions including Green IT, Smart Grid, Electric Vehicle, Venture Capital and Private Equity for green and clean technologies. Each panel will start with a keynote speech which covers the market trends, the state of art of the technologies, in particular, the top three issues of Green IT, Smart Grid, and Electric Vehicle we are facing today. The distinguished panelists then focus on the top three issues and come up with top three predictions for the next three to five years as the major consensus of the panel. In addition, we will have a Solar Power CEO Round Table to discuss the impact of recent changes of government energy policies in Europe and discuss the challenges and opportunities of different alternative technologies for solar electricity generation.
