As part of the deal, which will be rolled out in Europe and Latin America, Acision will provide a sophisticated policy engine including Tekelec's Policy and Charging Rule Function (PCRF) platform. This will provide Telefonica with increased control over its mobile broadband services enabling real-time intelligence of its network resources and conditions, to allow the operator to differentiate its data services for specific users.
