HONG KONG, April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Qin Jia Yuan Media Services Company Limited (stock code: 2366, hereafter referred to as "the Group" or "QJY") is pleased to announce that leveraging on our publishing rights to the works of Dr. LEUNG Anita Fung Yee Maria, a renowned writer in Hong Kong as well as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Group, the Group has introduced new editions of 4 of her novels and 3 of her writings in prose in the PRC in February 2011. Among these works, "Feng Yun Bian", one of her business-themed novels, topped the monthly literature best sellers chart of the bookstores in Wangfujing in the capital city on 28 March 2011. These seven works also brought a turnover in the form of prepayment of HK$10 million to QJY, which has been duly paid to the Group and may be recorded in the year 2011.

According to the statistics of the General Administration of Press and Publication of the PRC, there are currently 580 publishers and over one thousand private publishing enterprises generating RMB40 to 60 billion of sales of traditional printed books each year. As stated by Zhang Kangkang, a famous author, the vice chairman of China Writers Association and a member of the National Committee of CPPCC, at the meeting of the National Committee of CPPCC this month, in spite of the current imbalance in economic development across the country, the publishing industry demonstrates a relatively stable growth trend in all regions as compared to the other media, and enjoys a wide readership in terms of both conventional and on-screen readers. In addition, it will take generations for the traditional printed book readers to turn to digital reading. Therefore, traditional printed books will not be faded out completely from our daily living in the coming years.

The remarkable results achieved by the new editions of Dr. Anita Leung's published books shortly after their launches in the PRC in January 2011 revealed that evergreen writers still enjoy great appeal for both generations of readers in China. Furthermore, great works of literature were widely adapted for movie and television drama in recent years, and the simultaneous launches of film or television product and the work of literature can usually create synergies and a win-win situation. A work of Dr. Anita Leung will once again be adapted for television drama by the end of 2011 and it is anticipated that the competition for sponsorship of and advertising airtime during this television series will be intense. The highest record for sponsorship fee of television series and movies adaptation of Dr. Anita Leung's works was HK$10 million of "Nu Ren Ben Se" in 2007.

In addition to the works of Dr. Anita Leung, the Group owns the adaptation and publishing rights as well as the right to adapt for online games of over one thousand great works of literature, which provide the adequate resources for the Group to develop its new media business in the future. Last year, Dr. Anita Leung launched her e-book shop on www.fanshu.com, which is a leading national media institution, and becomes the first author to own such an e-book shop. On the other hand, the traditional publishing of Dr. Anita Leung's works during this year stood out in the market. Her twofold development in both the traditional and new media markets has created synergies and contributed to the exceptional and outstanding results of the Group.
