Spectrum Wine Auctions to Hold Its Largest Sale Ever June 25 – 26 at the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

IRVINE, Calif., June 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Spectrum Wine Auctions will hold its remarkable two-day Summer 2011 Auction, June 25 and 26 at the brand new Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong. The sale will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. HKT (June 24 and 25, 7:00 p.m. PDT) and will feature 2,300 lots of rare wine with a staggering estimated value of $7 million (HK$54.5 million), making it the largest live sale to be held by Spectrum Wine since launching in November 2009. The Southern California-based auction house has quickly captured the international spotlight over the course of six live sales, totaling over $23.3 million (HK$181.3 million). Richard Brierley, current Head of Fine Wine at Vanquish Ltd., and previous Head of North American Wine Sales at Christie's, will preside as auctioneer. The auction will offer wines from three extraordinary single-owner collections, "The Aubrey McClendon Collection Part V," "The Pennsylvania Underground Collection," and "A Major General's Collection."
