HONG KONG, Oct. 17, 2011 / PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Citibank Global Consumer Group (Citigroup Inc. , NYSE symbol: C) today announces the appointment of Ms. Christine Lam as Deputy Country Business Manager, with immediate effect. In this role, Ms. Lam will oversee the overall operation and development of Citibank's retail banking business in Hong Kong, covering the expansion and operation of the entire Citibank branch network, the development of investment products and services, as well as the management of different client segments, including general banking, Citigold and Citigold Private Client.

Ms. Lam joined Citi as a Management Associate and since then has held numerous and diverse management positions in Hong Kong, Canada and Asia Pacific regional roles. Ms. Lam ran Global Transaction Services in Hong Kong and, subsequently, moved into the regional office and assumed responsibility for CitiService and Quality for the Corporate and Investment Bank in Asia Pacific. She became the Chief of Staff to the regional CEO of the Corporate and Investment Bank and was Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. Prior to assuming her new role, Ms. Lam was Head of Operations and Technology (O&T) of Citi Hong Kong.
