Fleet Management Ltd Commends Rackspace's IT Hosting For Speed of Deployment, Fanatical Support(R) Services & Value for Money

HONG KONG, March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/-- Rackspace® Hosting (NYSE: RAX), the service leader in IT hosting and cloud computing, has been commended for its quality of service and professional excellence according to a Fleet Management, the world's fourth largest shipping management company, according to a case study released today.

This industry recognition has come about after Rackspace's hosting services were successfully supplied to Fleet Management, an agreement that has been in operation since April 2011. Rackspace has provided dedicated IT hosting support while managing the company's e-mail service, accounting system and ERP system with Oracle Database Cluster, thereby allowing Fleet Management's IT team to focus on developing critical computer programs for the ships and the crews it oversees.

"Like every company, we should be focusing on our core business and not trying to run and operate an IT [hosting] service," said Fleet Management CIO Michael Janich.

Fleet Management gave Rackspace high marks for its ability to deploy an enterprise-wide ERP system with Oracle Database Cluster in as little as 28 days; the provision of around-the-clock Fanatical Support® on Fleet Management's dedicated servers; and overall value for money.

"If somebody wants a hosting company I would recommend Rackspace because of their quick delivery time, their professional attitude, their Fanatical Support®, and their price-point," said Janich. "I think it's a very balanced IT package in terms of everything you need."

"We are excited to be working with Fleet Management and are thrilled they are happy with the relationship. We are committed to providing them with consistent uptime, connectivity, universality, affordability and support. Every customer we serve deserves the best in IT hosting solutions – whether it is through Rackspace's Managed Hosting, Cloud Computing, or Hybrid Hosting offerings," said Jim Fagan, VP, and Managing Director, Rackspace Asia.
