IGT marks its entry into China with the opening of Guangzhou hub to cater to the growing APAC market
InterGlobe Technologies (IGT), the leading provider of integrated IT-BPO solutions to the travel and hospitality industry, launched its Guangzhou delivery center today. Designed to expand its operations and accelerate its globalization process, this facility houses 150 seats with the capacity to grow significantly by FY13-14in-line with client demands. It is positioned to offer BPO and IT outsourcing services to travel corporations worldwide who are focusing on growing markets in the Asia Pacific region. Opening of this center comes after IGT's foray into Dubai and Manila in the last few years and indicates IGT's determination to accelerate its expansion to growing markets.

The company's decision to set up operations at Guangzhou is based on the fact that it has one of the largest concentrations of outsourcing enterprises in China, excellent infrastructure, talent pool with multi-lingual capabilities, supportive government policies and the ease of doing business. In addition, China is taking giant leaps towards becoming champion of software & service outsourcing in the world.
The Guangzhoudelivery center will provide business process services such as customer service, airline reservations, flight disruption support, back office services, multi-language support and consulting in the Airline, Travel Management (TMC) and Hospitality industry. IGT already has a client base comprising of large TMCs and Airlines in the geography.
