MANILA, April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Philippines' largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) recently announced it will operate direct daily flights between Manila and Dubai beginning October 7, 2013.
Chinese travelers will soon be able to take advantage of CEB's trademark seat sales and promos, especially with multiple services from China to Manila. CEB flies thrice weekly to Manila from both Xiamen and Guangzhou. It also operates four weekly flights from Beijing to Manila, and daily flights from Shanghai to Manila.
"CEB's direct Dubai service allows guests from China to visit two destinations in one trip, on CEB's trademark lowest fares. We are excited to offer fares as low as CNY 2,355 from China to Manila and from Manila to Dubai," said Alex Reyes, Cebu Pacific General Manager for the Long Haul Division.
"Dubai is one of the most popular destinations in the world for Chinese outbound travelers. 181,000 Chinese tourists visited Dubai during the first nine months of 2012, a 31 per cent annual increase. Passengers can book flights from mainland China to Dubai with a stopover in Manila, with the following fares: from Guangzhou (CNY2,355), from Xiamen (CNY2,435), from Shanghai (CNY2,635) and from Beijing (CNY2,735).
These fares are inclusive of country taxes and fuel surcharges, but exclusive of baggage allowance and admin fees.
Daily flights from Manila to Dubai are scheduled to depart at 4:40PM (Manila time), while flights from Dubai to Manila depart at 11:10PM (Dubai time). It will be the budget airline's first long haul destination.
CEB's Manila-Dubai flights will be operated on the Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a configuration of more than 400 all-economy class seats. Guests can also enjoy OnAir WiFi connectivity inflight.
CEB previously announced that it will lease up to 8 Airbus A330-300 aircraft for its long haul operations. The airline will take delivery of 2 Airbus A330 aircraft this year, and an additional 2 in 2014. The Airbus A330 has a range of up to 11 hours which means CEB could serve markets such as Australia, Middle East, parts of Europe and the US.
CEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 25 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft. Its fleet of 43 aircraft is the one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2013 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 17 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders.
CEB operates the most extensive network in the Philippines with 34 domestic destinations and hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, Kalibo and Davao.
