Jointly attempts to break the Guinness World Records for the "Largest Mooncake" of the World in Shanghai, China.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- To celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival, the Parkside Plaza at Changfeng and Shanghai Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park culinary team prepared a giant lotus-seed paste moon cake at the Parkside Plaza at Changfeng. This "moon cake" attempted to break the Guinness World Records by weighing at 2.4964 tonnes and having a diameter of 2.57 meters. It is expected to break the current world record which was set at a shopping mall in Toronto, Canada September 29, 2001.

On September 19, 2013, the witness ceremony took place at 1F Atrium at Parkside Plaza at Changfeng, Putuo District, Shanghai. More than 500 guests and media attended the event to celebrate the exciting moment. Three official notaries from Shanghai Putuo Notary Public Office and one engineer from Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology were present to witness and certify the event.

Under their supervision and monitoring of the production process and the witness ceremony, the engineer from Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology confirmed the exact diameter of 2.57 meters and total weight of 2.4964 tonnes of this "Largest Mooncake" candidate.

Following the event, the organizer began to complete and file all the evidence, certificates, photos, video records and media coverage which once completed will be sent to Guinness World Records within a few weeks. An official confirmation for the "Largest Mooncake" of the world will be sent by the Headquarter of "Guinness World Records" within 12 weeks.
