(Incorporated in Bermuda with Limited Liability) ("ACE Life in Hong Kong"), part of the ACE Group, announced today it has been awarded the "10 Years Plus Caring Company Logo" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), demonstrating ACE Life's strong commitment to caring for the community, employees and the environment. ACE Life in Hong Kong is one of the select insurance companies receiving this award.
Established by the HKCSS in 2002, the "Caring Company Scheme" aims to cultivate corporate citizenship and promote partnerships between businesses and social welfare organizations. Over 2,700 companies were awarded the "Caring Company" title this year, of which less than 10 insurance companies received the "10 Years Plus Caring Company Logo".
With the commitment to promoting environmental protection and supporting the underprivileged, ACE Life in Hong Kong has lived up to its corporate social responsibility through organizing philanthropic activities, including beach clean-ups, special education campus beautification efforts and a farm outing with visually impaired students during the last two years. Furthermore, the company also participated in "Earth Hour" by turning off its rooftop signage for an hour on the event date to support environmental conservation. Employees were encouraged to do likewise as part of cultivating a green living culture.
