HONG KONG, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- VenueHub, an online platform recently named as one of HK's "20 Hottest Startups" by Hong Kong Business magazine, is enabling Hong Kong organisations and individuals to generate extra cash outside of normal business hours. In the same way that AirBnB enables property owners to earn supplementary income renting out their vacant rooms, VenueHub provides a similar service for renting out spaces for events.

VenueHub has also started listing houses that people want to rent out for private events, as well as other spaces such as galleries, multipurpose venues and co-working offices. "It's all about giving the user maximum variety and choice", Whiting added.
Whiting believes that VenueHub is changing the face of the events industry: "We expect to see more unique venues come on board as the website gains further traction, although the bulk of our customer enquiries will likely remain to our restaurant and bar clients.
