"Hit by a series of natural disasters, it's been a year of trials for Osaka," Osaka Governor Ichiro Matsui said, representing the festival's executive committee. "But Osaka won't be overwhelmed by disasters. We'll move forward with smiling faces. I wish to turn the Osaka Culture and Arts Festival into an opportunity to demonstrate that power."
One of the guests was Osaka-born world-renowned designer Junko Koshino, who has taken part in the Paris Fashion Week many times. She spoke of her enthusiasm to stage a fashion show at the Osaka Prefectural Government Building, the oldest public office building currently in use in Japan, as well as her thoughts about Osaka.
