AIA Appoints Garth Jones as Group Chief Financial Officer

HONG KONG, April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- AIA Group Limited, ("AIA"; stock code: 1299) welcomes Garth Jones as Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer.

Garth joins AIA from China Pacific Insurance Group (CPIC), where he was the Executive Vice President of CPIC Life. He also held a number of senior management positions during 12 years working at Prudential, including Chief Financial Officer of the Asian life insurance operations. Garth is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries and will join AIA with effect from Monday, 18th April 2011, subject to the appropriate regulatory approvals.
