XI'AN, China, May 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ALONG Mobile Technologies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AGMB), a leading provider of wireless interactive entertainment products and services in China, today announced the appointment of Mr. Ma Xiaomeng to Chief Operating Officer and Director, effective May 11, 2007.
"The Board is delighted that Mr. Ma has agreed to serve as the Company's COO," said Mr. Li Jianwei, Chairman of the Board. "He has an MBA along with over 20 years of experience in corporate management, which makes him the perfect candidate for COO of ALONG. His appointment will greatly benefit ALONG's further business development, internal management, and external associations."
Prior to his appointment to the board of directors in May 2007, Mr. Li served as the Vice Manager of Jiaoda Kunji High-Tech Company Limited (00300.HK) and (600806.SS). Jiaoda Kunji High-Tech Company Limited is dedicated to the manufacturing of machine tools and accessories since 1997. Before that, he began ELX SI6400 BSC training in Singapore. Mr. Ma holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xian and an MBA from Shaanxi MBA College of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
The Company further announces that Mr. Gao Yeru, former COO of ALONG, has resigned his duties as full-time COO and director effective upon Mr. Ma's appointment. Chairman Li Jianwei added, "The whole board unanimously recognized that Mr. Gao had duly performed his responsibilities within the past few years and has made great contributions to the Company, however taking our further development into account, the Company must bring in the most qualified people to realize our goals and increase value for our Company's shareholders".
