The lecture covered safety tips for crossing the street, waiting for the school bus, and bicycling. Through interesting experiments and interactive games, the children absorbed the practical knowledge shared and promised to apply it in daily life.

Road traffic injuries were the leading cause of death among young people in 2015, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). However, taking some simple self-protection actions can make a big difference. For example, wearing a motorcycle helmet can reduce the risk of death by almost 40% and the risk of severe injury by approximately 70%, according to WHO.

Marcelo Fioranelli, Vice President of Air Liquide Greater China Cluster, said: "As an industrial company, Air Liquide always regards safety as our top priority. The company adheres to a series of strict policies, working procedures and standards to ensure the safety of its employees and its daily operations. Promoting children's road safety is a meaningful extension of our safety culture, and is also in line with our corporate social responsibility objective to contribute to the well-being of the local community."

Responsibility is at the core of Air Liquide culture. The company is devoted to developing local economies, protecting life and the environment, and contributing to communities. Under its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) umbrella program called "Air Liquide Care", in addition to "Road Safety Lectures", Air Liquide China promotes other initiatives including its "Marathon First Responder Program", the "Green Action" annual tree-planting event, and the recycled computer donation program "Air Liquide Computer Classroom".
