(Nasdaq: ASIA) ("AsiaInfo-Linkage" or the "Company"), a leading provider of telecom software solutions and IT security products and services in China, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Mfone Co., Ltd. ("Mfone"), a leading provider of fixed and mobile telecommunications services in Cambodia, to develop a Business Intelligence ("BI") system for the operator.
AsiaInfo-Linkage's President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Zhang, commented, "This agreement is of great significance as it marks our first win and entry into the Southeast Asian telecommunications market. The BI system is being built in response to increased competition in the Cambodian telecommunications market. It is being designed primarily to enhance business analysis capability and optimize enterprise operation and management. Pursuant to the agreement, AsiaInfo-Linkage will provide a "full turnkey solution," including engineering and design, procuring and supplying products, and installation, commissioning, training and on-site support.
