CCTV Documentary Channel Debuts on KyLinTV

PLAINVIEW, N.Y., Feb 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- World-leading Chinese IPTV provider KyLinTV announced today the official launch of CCTV Documentary Channel as part of its expanded Great Wall package in North America, Europe and Singapore.

Launched on January 1st of this year, CCTV Documentary Channel is the first Chinese-language documentary channel with a worldwide footprint. The bilingual channel and its highly reputed production team offer audiences worldwide top-notch documentaries positioned to overcome language, ethnic and cultural barriers and tell China's story to the world within the context of globalization. At the same time, the channel will serve as a platform to boost the development of the documentary sector in China.

CCTV Documentary focuses on four genres: nature, history, the humanities and society and broadcasts 24/7 with three hours of each day's programming dedicated to first-run segments.

With the addition of CCTV Documentary Channel to the Great Wall platform, the expanded "Great Wall package" on KyLinTV increases to 26 channels, by far the most comprehensive and best-value Chinese-language TV channel package available worldwide, while, at the same time, fulfilling what Chinese audiences in North America and worldwide expect and demand.
