Centron Wins 4G Contracts in Various Provinces

HONG KONG, Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centron Telecom International Holding Limited ("Centron" or "The Group", HKEx: 01155.HK), announced that they have won a contract of MDDS Signal Distribution System under the 4G Fiber Signal Access Project in Shandong Province. The aggregate investment amount of the whole project exceeds RMB40 million. Centron has also won orders of indoor distribution integration/reconstruction, network optimization and blind area coverage, mini intelligent BTS antenna, LTE RF modules and combiners, and other 4G related products and services in Chinese LTE network construction of other provinces and regions.

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT) granted licenses of 4G LTE to the big three telecom operators recently. The big three telecos have currently launched TD-LTE trial network. And the TD-LTE network is matured for commercial launch in terms of technological and industrial development. The FD-LTE license will also be released once conditions are ripe. As 4G license issuance implies a liberalised capex disbursement in telecom equipment by the big three telecos, the telecom equipment industry is believed to revolve in a new cycle of prosperity.

As one of the mobile network optimization equipment and service providers of the big three telecos, Centron has been shortlisted to supply products and services in 4G networks construction of various provinces including Shandong, Fujian, Hebei, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Beijing, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Guizhou, etc.
