BEIJING, December 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Charm Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRM) ("Charm" or the "Company"), a leading advertising agency in China, today announced that Mr. Nick Waters will succeed Mr. J. Patrick Stahle as the Aegis Media-appointed director on the Company's Board of Directors, effective December 8, 2011.
Mr. Waters has twenty years of experience in the advertising industry and has served as chief executive officer of Aegis Media Asia Pacific since March 2010. Prior to joining Aegis Media, Mr. Waters held several management roles from 1997 to 2010 at the WPP-owned media agency Mindshare in Europe and Asia, including time as CEO of Southeast Asia (2001-2005), CEO of Asia Pacific (2005-2006) and CEO of Europe, Middle East and Africa (2006-2010). Mr. Waters has also served on a number of industry award juries, including the 2009 Cannes Lions Media Jury, the 2009 Eurobest Advertising Festival Juries, where he was president of the Media Jury and a member of the Integrated Advertising Jury, and the 2010 Asia Spikes Media Jury. Mr. Waters attended the University of Nottingham in England.
