SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China GrenTech Corporation Limited (Nasdaq: GRRF; “the Company” or “GrenTech”), today announced that its CDMA and WCDMA filter division has won a bid from the largest domestic PRC (People’s Republic of China) base station equipment manufacturer for the procurement of RF modules. Based on the current demand estimate of this globally renowned client, potential orders may bring the value of this contract with GrenTech to approximately RMB100 million. Most of these orders are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2008. The value of this order has already surpassed that of fiscal year 2007’s total contract value from this particular client. This winning bid not only signifies GrenTech’s position as one of the key RF product suppliers for this client, but will also drive the Company’s 2008 first quarter revenue from RF modules much higher than that of the first quarter of 2007.
