Expansion planned for 2009 event
HONG KONG, Sept. 3 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Sources' (Nasdaq: GSOL) China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components ( http://www.chinasourcingfair.com ) is sold out six weeks before its scheduled run Oct. 12 - 15 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This October's show will feature over 2,900 booths of finished electronics and components from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and other Asian countries.

"Demand for this Fair has grown every year since its launch in Shanghai in 2003. Our recent April show was 27 percent bigger than the previous year and our forthcoming show has sold out faster than ever before," said Global Sources' Executive Director, Sarah Benecke. "In response to this strong interest, we plan to expand into an additional hall with a capacity of over 400 booths for our October 2009 Fair."
"Buyers visiting the Fair will see over 2,200 booths from mainland China alone. In addition, there are more than 280 booths from Hong Kong and 370 booths from Taiwan. We are also pleased to host pavilions from Korea and Taiwan," added Benecke.
Last October's Fair attracted over 30,000 buyers from 150 countries and regions. The show regularly attracts buyers from leading companies including 3M, Best Buy, Canon, Carrefour, Circuit City, Fujitsu, General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, Monster Cable, Motorola, Panasonic, Philips, RadioShack, Samsung Electronics, Sears Global Sourcing, Siemens, Sony, Staples, Sun Microsystems, Tesco International Sourcing and ThreeSixty Sourcing. The show will also feature special Vendor Summits and Private Buyer Meetings.

The October Fair is the third of four China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components shows that take place annually.
