Chinese New Year Holiday in February 2007 Benefits CWTD's Travel Business

GUANGZHOU, China, March 26 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China World Trade Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CWTD) ("CWTC") today announced that both the tourist number and admission ticket sales of Tong Li Town, a CWTC-managed business-travel scenic site, hit record high during the Chinese New Year ("CNY") holiday in February 2007.

Tourist number of Tong Li Town, Jiangsu Province reached 125,900 in the period Feb 18-24, 2007, a growth of 45.7% on top of previous CNY period. The total revenue generated from admission tickets reached USD 390,000, a 46.3% year-on-year increase over the same period of 2006. Both figures hit record high compared to all the previous CNY holidays.

Occupancy rates reached an average of 80% and 75% in 5-star hotels and home-stay hotels of Tong Li Town respectively during the CNY period this year.

"Around 80% of the visitors in this CNY period are individuals, the majority from Yangtze Delta," said Mr. William Tsang, President of CWTD, "Individual travelers are price-sensitive in general. So we have enhanced our service system to provide reasonable and enjoyable travel itineraries in Tong Li Town in order to strengthen our competitiveness and retention by providing maximum value for customers."

Tong Li Town is the scenic sit managed by CWTD through its subsidiary Suzhou Tongli (International) Excursion Development Limited (STED). STED has arranged many cultural performances featuring traditional CNY customs including dragon dance, lion dance, and greetings of Goddess of Wealth, etc.
