COMPANY RAISES GUIDANCE FOR 4Q06 REVENUE AND GROSS MARGIN
HSINCHU, Taiwan, Dec. 15 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ChipMOS
TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. ("ChipMOS" or the "Company'') (Nasdaq: IMOS)
today reported its unaudited consolidated revenue for the month of November
2006. The Company also raised its prior guidance for the fourth quarter
ending December 31, 2006. Based on the exchange rate of NT$32.43 against
US$1.00 as of November 30, 2006, ChipMOS currently expects the revenue for
the fourth quarter of 2006 to be in the range of US$176 million to US$181
million, compared to prior guidance of US$168 million to US$172 million,
with gross margin on a consolidated basis for the fourth quarter of 2006 to
be in the range of 29% to 32%, compared to prior guidance of 26% to 29%.
Revenue for the month of November 2006 was NT$1,993.2 million or US$61.5
million, an increase of 1.9% from the month of October 2006 and an increase
of 40.0% from the same period in 2005. (All translations from NT dollars to
U.S. dollars were made at the exchange rate of NT$32.43 against US$1.00 as
of November 30, 2006.)
