BEIJING, April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- DHgate launched a new 2-day e-commerce boot camp at the University of Brunei on April 18th-19th. Bruneian businesses learned about cross-border trade from a brand new angle- the "ecosystem." The boot camp also featured hands-on training for operations and social commerce. Ecosystem before Skills
On day 1 in Brunei, trainers gave SMEs a complete view of the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem. On day 2, SMEs learned how to run and operate their own cross-border e-commerce business.
Attendees learned how to select, display, source, and ship products, how to provide great customer service. Then, how to apply growth techniques with online marketing and social commerce apps.
APEC CBET 2017
The boot camp is the upgraded version of the APEC CBET program. CBET stands for Cross-Border E-commerce Training. CBET first encourages business owners to embrace a digital business model. Next SMEs learn the skills and knowledge necessary to operate an e-commerce business.
DHgate launched APEC CBET in 2013, and has since trained over 3,000 SMEs across 10 APEC economies. In 2016 APEC Ministers and a 2016 G20 policy paper both recommended APEC CBET.
Expanding the Program
"The CBET Brunei Boot Camp was one of the most successful program up till now. We received very positive feedback from attendees. We look forward to working with more countries to expand our training program." - Diane Wang, Founder and CEO of DHgate
