DTS Announces Private Surround Sound Seminars in Beijing

Emmy Award Winning Sound Designer to Present 'How To' Guidelines

BEIJING, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- DTS, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTSi) announced today that the highly acclaimed sound designer, author and teacher, Dennis Baxter, will present two private seminars in Beijing, China, titled "Surround Sound without the Anxiety." Mr. Baxter will be covering technologies and techniques that span a 400-event career, which includes the last five Olympic Games.

The seminars will take place on Thursday August 27th at the Beijing Radisson Hotel adjacent to the Beijing Conference Center which hosts BIRTV 2009 August 26th through August 29th. Some highlights will include a brief overview of DTS end-to-end broadcast solutions and a "how to' tutorial on producing live sporting events in surround sound that will benefit the audience, producer and broadcaster. Mixing and Microphone techniques as well as surround sound encoding methods will also be covered.
