TAIPEI, Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Swedish brand Delta Powerboats is proud to announce the sale of a Delta 26 Sports Cruiser, priced at NTD$6.8 million dollars, within 100 days of officially launching in Taiwan. The new proud owner was first attracted to the yacht's simple yet elegant Scandinavian designs but was ultimately sold on how safe and comfortable the boat made him feel during navigation, a feature made only possible with the Delta 26's innovative air lubricated hull design, which not only enhances stability but also maximizes fuel efficiency.

While the Delta 26 Sports Cruiser is a smaller model in the series of Delta Powerboats family, the boat is 8.3 meters in length and can comfortably seat at least 8 adults. Carbon fibre is integrated into the structure of the boat to ensure safety even at high speeds, a feature that all Delta models share. Needless to say, with the lightweight carbon fibre, the boat offers immensely low fuel consumption, especially compared to other boats her size. For enthusiasts who really appreciate the strength and light weight of carbon fibre, this model is also available in 100% carbon fibre. The Delta 26 Sports Cruiser has a safe range of 200 nautical miles, a distance that can take you between Yilan and Danshui 3 times. To maximize the use of space, the seating area can be configured to easily become a sun-bed while a room with a small bathroom is well situated in the forward cabin. There is even a small kitchen hidden under the driver's seat and a small fridge available on deck.

General Manager of the Asia Pacific Area, Tee TzerYu comments, "It is an amazing accomplishment to have sold our first boat in Taiwan within 100 days of launching our brand. We are especially excited as Taiwan's marinas are just starting to develop for sea leisure sports like boating and now we're already a part of it. Taiwan is such a beautiful island and we can't wait to take more customers on seatrials to enjoy the amazing view of the coastlines."

The sale of the Delta 26 Sports Cruiser marks a significant milestone for Delta Powerboats in Taiwan and truly shows that the yachting culture is starting to grow in this region, especially with the recent developments of various marinas around the island. More importantly, the maintenance and customer care package offered by Delta Powerboats in Taiwan warrants much confidence for buyers even as a newly introduced brand.

The Delta 88 IPS, made with 100% carbon fibre yacht, was also recently introduced as the newest member of the Delta family with a length of 26.3 meters, making her one of the largest yachts built in Sweden. With sporty lines and a modern interior, the Delta 88 IPS was officially handed over to her first buyer in Sweden in September and a second one has already been sold and is being built to be ready for launch next summer. The Delta 88 IPS is also now available to customers in Taiwan as well.
