SINGAPORE, July 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Dhirendra Shantilal, Vice President and Managing Director (Asia) of Kelly Services, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific recently. In his new role, he will oversee Kelly's entire Asia Pacific operations in over 80 offices across 11 countries and territories - Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. He is instrumental in the sourcing of new markets and the expansion of Kelly Services within Asia Pacific.

A pioneer in staffing services in Singapore and Malaysia, and a co-founder of Business Trends, Dhirendra joined the Kelly family when Business Trends was acquired by Kelly Services Inc. in 2000.
He played a vital role in assisting Kelly Services gain a foothold in China, through the latest acquisition of P-Serv Inc., a major player in North Asia's talent management market recently. With the acquisition, Kelly Services now has a global network consisting of 33 countries and territories, thus making it one of the largest recruitment organizations in the Asia Pacific region.

Dhirendra is a Certified International Personnel Consultant with over 27 years of experience in the personnel-consulting and staffing field. He is an active and known member of the recruitment services profession. He is a past President of the Singapore Staffing Association (SSA) and currently serves as its Vice-President. He is also the advisor to the "Malaysia HR Awards".
He has served on numerous human resources and other committees, contributing his ideas and thought leadership on talent management in Singapore and around the world. He is also a member of Temasek Polytechnic Business School Advisory Committee.
Dhirendra has been involved with the Franchising and Licensing Association of Singapore for the last 11 years, having served as Chairman for 2 years and is now the Advisor to the Association.
As an active member in the community, he has served as President of the Rotary Club of Singapore South and was a key member of the Organizing Committee for the 1999 Rotary International Convention held in Singapore that attracted over 18,000 international delegates.
Dhirendra by training has finance qualifications. He also holds an MBA from the University of Durham (UK) and a Diploma in Marketing awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
