The only project management training provider in Singapore to offer accredited project management and leadership development programmes under the Business Management WSQ (BM WSQ)

SINGAPORE, May 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ESI International, the world's leading project management training company, today announced that its Project Leadership, Management and Communications course has attained the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) certification, a national credentialing systems developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), with aims to develop the key competencies of employees and enhance their employability against industry-developed work standards. ESI International is the only project management provider in Singapore that offers accredited project management and leadership development programmes under the Business Management WSQ (BM WSQ).

The Project Leadership, Management and Communications course programme offered by ESI International is intended to equip project managers with the essential business skills to help complement their technical competencies in project management, including leadership, management and communication skills which are vital for success when progressing to a management role.

Course participants will learn how to lead project teams through effective communications, identify motivational value systems to improve productivity and cooperation, as well as to negotiate and lead change, over the 3-day programme.

"In today's volatile business environment, having technical competencies are no longer adequate in ensuring career success. Employees need to develop and master the art of soft skills and broad business aptitude in order to set themselves apart from their peers," said Raed S. Haddad, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, ESI International. "Likewise for project managers, this course will help complement their existing core competencies with leadership and communication skills essential to developing their careers to the management level."

Under the WSQ scheme, organisations or individual course participants with at least 75 per cent course attendance and passing the assessment test, can enjoy a subsidy of over S$400 when they sign up for the course programme. The subsidy breakdown comprises 50 per cent of course fees, capped at S$15 per hour (to be claimed by public and civil servants); and 80 per cent of hourly of hourly salary (absentee payroll), capped at S$4.50 per hour (not applicable for public and civil servants).
