ASTANA, Kazakhstan, Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today in Astana EXPO-2017 First International Planning Meeting was opened. This is the first event organized by Kazakhstan after the official recognition of the International Exhibition EXPO 2017 on the 155 session of the General Assembly of the BIE in Paris.

The two-day forum will be attended by the top management of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), Secretariat of the Commissioner of the Expo team, as well as more than 200 representatives from 86 countries who have received an official invitation to participate in EXPO 2017.
"One of the objectives of the Meeting is to assure potential international participants that Kazakhstan has all the necessary administrative and material resources for the organization of EXPO 2017. It will be held in compliance with all international demands made to the draft of such a level," said the Chairman of the Board of JSC" NC "Astana EXPO-2017", Talgat Ermegiyaev.
At the forum, heads of departments of the National Company "Astana-EXPO-2017" will present on key industries of the exhibition project. Master plan and construction schedule, content plan, entertainment, communication and promotion plan of the exhibition, corporate participation and sponsorship issues, procedures to participate in EXPO 2017, "Energy of the Future" symposium, and the tourism potential of Kazakhstan issues will be presented. The representative of Astana city Akimat will talk about the preparation of the city's infrastructure for the International Exhibition.
During the official part of the forum the first vice-premier, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Secretary General of the BIE, Vicente Loscertales , Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017", Talgat Ermegiyaev , and EXPO 2017 Commissioner,Rapil Zhoshybayev, will make their presentations.
The working part of the meeting is devoted to bilateral and multilateral meetings with international representatives, which will discuss their countries' participation issues in the exhibition.
The International Planning meeting in Astana will be held annually till the beginning of the EXPO 2017.
