Debut Exhibition Features 66 Up-and-Coming Contemporary Chinese Artists

Live Online Auction: November 21 and 22, 2007

HONG KONG, Nov. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Atting House, the first Hong Kong-based auction house to sell fine art through an entirely Internet-based auction environment is to stage its debut online auction from November 21-22 featuring over 130 works from 66 up and coming contemporary Chinese artists.

In another unique innovation, the collection has been curated by Professor Wang Lin of the Sichuan Fine Arts Academy, a leading authority on Chinese contemporary art. His supporting Exhibition runs for the month of November at the Atting House 10,000 sq. ft. gallery.

This new auction house allows collectors of Asian art to bid for works from the comfort of their own home, or anywhere in the world with an internet connection, by participating in a live online auction at http://www.attinghouse.com . The buyers can analyze & cross reference the bidding results across batches in live time and a three minute extension is available if anyone bids at the last minute which gives people time to consider their position carefully, without the pressure of 'the hammer'.

The live online auction is to be held over 48 hours between November 21 and 22 and bidders must register by November 20 to qualify. A full background on all the artworks and artists is available on the website.

Atting House plans to mount at least four major Art Auctions per year in conjunction with an exhibition, each featuring no less than 100 works of art selected by expert curators, ensuring buyers are choosing from a genuine collection of high quality works.

Atting House is the brainchild of Jai Waney, a prominent Hong Kong-based art collector and businessman famous for the ultra chic Zuma and Roka Japanese dining brands in Hong Kong, and most recently, at The Venetian in Macau, together with Chinese contemporary art expert Johnson Chang.

Chang, the founder of Hong Kong's highly regarded Hanart TZ Gallery, is one of the leading specialists in contemporary Chinese art, establishing the international reputation of several of China's leading contemporary artists including the celebrated Zhang Xiaogang.
