Fushi Copperweld Signs Research Agreement With University Of Alabama

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 8 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fushi Copperweld, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSIN), the leading global manufacturer and innovator of copper-clad bimetallic wire used in a variety of telecommunication, utility, automotive and other electrical applications, today signed a one-year Research Program Agreement with The University of Alabama (UA). Fushi Copperweld will cooperate in conjunction with UA's Materials Metrology Research Program on advanced bimetallic research and development projects. This partnership will provide Fushi Copperweld access to specialized materials experts and

state-of-the-art research technology through UA's Central Analytical Facility (CAF). UA's CAF houses an extensive collection of sophisticated analytical microscopy-related equipment. The cooperative research projects will be directed by Fushi Copperweld's Research and Development Department based in the Company's North American headquarters in Fayetteville, TN.
