Fuwei Films Appoints A New Independent Director

    BEIJING, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Fuwei Films (Holdings) Co., Limited (Nasdaq: FFHL) ("Fuwei Films" or the "Company"), a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality BOPET plastic film located in China, today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Mr. Shan Jiang to serve as an Independent director of Fuwei Films' Board effective in August, 2010.

"We believe that Mr. Jiang's experience as an attorney will develop the Company's legal understanding and his professional experience in litigating business affairs cases will assist us in developing our business practices." 
    Mr. Shan Jiang has been a Partner at C&I Partners Legal Firm in Beijing since June 1995. From March 1982 to December 1986, he worked at the Maritime Court Office of the Ministry of Communications. From December 1986 to May 1995, he worked in the Legal Affairs Center of China. He has many years of experience in as a litigator and is experienced in dealing with complicated legal affairs. He graduated from Renmin University of China and received his L.L.B. in Economic Law in 1985.
