Currently, India ranks the world's third largest mobile market after China and the US, and has become more popular among many mobile brands. The Indian market is expected to become the world's second largest mobile market following China within three years.

As the leader of China's mobile industry in India, Gionee is dedicated to the market. So far, Gionee has around 100 employees and over 7,000 promoters in India. With Gionee's entering the Indian market in early 2013 and the launch of Make in India in 2014, the company has been hiring local employees, developing traditional channels and making efforts in establishing e-commerce platform. In the future, Gionee will carry out its own "make in India" plan once the mobile ecosystem in India becomes more mature.

Gionee has been committed to innovation and quality. Back in the design hub located in Gionee's headquarters in Shenzhen, inspirations and new ideas always pop up from the brand's talented employees. All new mobile models need to undergo a series of rigorous scientific tests. For example, each new mobile model has to go through at least 12 trials testing its drop resistance and at least 200 alcohol tests for its coating/exterior.

"Two new mobile models, E8 and M5, will be launched globally in different markets in June this year," William Lu revealed.

"I believe in Gionee's competence. Apple and Samsung used to be the top two mobile brands. Now, we've won over Samsung in India. The next one will be Apple. It takes time," William expressed great confidence in surpassing the seemingly-undefeatable brands.

William Lu as President of the Company and Chief Product Manager, believes in showing his devotion into providing products with the best quality and user experience to consumers globally.
