Chinese Enterprises Exhibit Abroad for Hotspot Market in Economic 'Winter'

SHANGHAI, China, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- HANNOVER MESSE 2009, the trendsetter for all areas of application in the manufacturing industry, will grandly open from April 20th-24th 2009 in Hannover, Germany. HANNOVER MESSE 2009 is expected to cover a total space of 225,000 sq m, accommodating 6,400 exhibitors from over 60 countries and regions. Despite the worldwide financial crisis and reduction in international trade volume, HANNOVER MESSE continues demonstrating its attraction to major industrial enterprises from different countries for its international influence, and, of particular note, Chinese enterprises account for a large number of the participants. By the end of 2008, over 400 Chinese exhibitors had booked a total of 4,500 sq m of exhibit space. Bearing the vision of creating new international trade order with the concept of "Created in China," Chinese industrial enterprises always take an active part of participating overseas exhibitions and have been gradually shrugging off the label of low- and moderated-level product manufacturers.

Manufacturing industry will get a better result by exploring both internal and external markets

At the end of 2008, the global economic crisis caused by the US sub-prime mortgage crisis finally convinced people that the global market has evolved into a more diversified order. Global financial markets are no longer under the rein of Wall Street and London. In contrast to the slumps in these western countries, China and other bourgeoning economic regions have been maintaining their stable economic rise. The statistics issued by Customs Head Office in last October revealed that Chinese export volume in the first three quarters of 2008 reached $1,074 billion, an increase of 22.3% year-over-year, 0.4% faster compared with the first half of this year, but still dropped by 4.8% compared to the same period in last year. These statistics give hints that Chinese economy -- with GDP surging at an exceptional rate these years -- is not an exception that has avoided being hit by the economic storm. Although the stimulus of 4,000 billion yuan at the end of last year will partly mitigate the crisis by spurring domestic demand, Chinese companies should also expand development paths to overseas markets. "Walking with two legs" is always better than one.

Chinese exhibitors feature more high-tech products than ever

For the leg stepping into the overseas market, HANNOVER MESSE is no stranger. Reputed as the largest international exhibition of industrial technology, HANNOVER MESSE builds a unique platform for business communication and innovation exchange with 14 flagship shows under its giant umbrella. The deterioration of export conditions caused by the worsening global credit crunch may hinder the steps of some SEMs to participate HANNOVER MESSE 2009. Nevertheless, the technology content of exhibits brought by Chinese companies is largely enriched this year. By now, the registered Chinese enterprises for HANNOVER MESSE have reached 400 with a total of 4,500 sq m of exhibit space. Their exhibits cover: Industrial Automation Show, Motion, Drive & Automation Show, Energy Show, Subcontracting Show and the ComVac Show. Such big brand names from China that have registered include LYC, CHINT, EURA DRIVE, JLEM, DONGHUA CHAIN GROUP, FIXED STAR GROUP, PEOPLE ELE. APPLIANCE GROUP, ZHEJIANG WOLONG, SHANGHAI DAZHONG HYDRAULIC, ZHEJIANG XINLEI and SHENGZHOU CENFIT. In particular, CHINT has booked a large-size booth of 152 sq m in the "High and Low Voltage Electric Show."

The World Energy Dialogue will focus on sustainable future energy supplies

Energy and climate protection will be the key issues in HANNOVER MESSE 2009 -- which is also the topic of most concern for the Chinese government and Chinese enterprises. Energy and energy efficiency will be recurrent themes in all sections of HANNOVER MESSE 2009. Likewise, the show will feature a number of different presentations focusing on energy-efficient mobility to convey a new concept of energy development to visitors -- for example, "Clean Moves Expo," "Hydrogen + Fuel Cells," and "Mobile Robots and Autonomous Systems" presented by the German Renewable Energy Association (BEE). Chaired by climate protection expert Professor Dr. Klaus Toepfer, The World Energy Dialogue is sure to attract a high degree of international attention. In addition, around 2,000 congresses, discussion forums, seminars and workshops will be taking place during HANNOVER MESSE 2009. These supporting events will provide an outstanding opportunity to tune into tomorrow's trends and to capitalize on the free flow of information between decision-makers in business.

The "Partner Country" -- Korea

The Republic of Korea has been chosen as the Partner Country at HANNOVER MESSE 2009. As an international platform for technology transfer and a driving force behind new technological developments in all sectors of industry, HANNOVER MESSE 2009 will offer exhibitors and trade visitors from its Partner Country excellent opportunities for establishing and developing business contact with new nations and markets. Korean exhibitors will be presenting products from cutting-edge technology at all 14 flagship shows, thus putting Korea in the limelight at HANNOVER MESSE 2009. With the bilateral volume of trade totaling a record 19.6 billion euros in 2007, Germany is Korea's most important European trading partner. Thus, an exceptionally large number of Korean exhibitors have indicated that they are interested in taking part in HANNOVER MESSE. As the world's great event in both economic and political society, HANNOVER MESSE 2009 is sure to enhance the cooperation and communication between Germany and Korea in industrial technology innovation.
