HONG KONG, May 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Maaii, on May 9, simultaneously launched its 2.1 software release for iOS and Android platforms. The Company released the Smartphone applications to users worldwide through the global app stores (App Store and GooglePlay) as well as to users locally in Hong Kong.
This version of the software is the 2nd release since the Company re-launched and re-branded its service in March of 2013. With core features remaining, such as High-Definition Voice calls between Maaii users and themed chat rooms, users can now send personal picture messages to each other that expire 10 seconds after viewing. "There is no record of the content stored anywhere on our servers," said Chris Lewis, Vice President at Maaii, he continued, "users can feel confident that those grainy or embarrassing images where they might not look their best can be sent, viewed, then disappear in an instant." This form of expire-able messaging is becoming increasingly popular, with Maaii being the first Hong Kong developer to provide such a service.
Additionally with this software release, Maaii users can send amazingly cute (and sometimes dark) stickers and animations to their Maaii friends for free. With themed chat rooms that push custom ringtones and alerts to participants, Maaii has become a unique playground for users desiring High-Quality Communications coupled with fun and uniquely social functions, such as location and file sharing between friends.
