GUANGZHOU, China, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In early March, haze and environmental protection became a hot topic in the Chinese mainland. To support Earth Hour and its theme in China of "Switch Off, Blue On", Infinitus, member of LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG), launched the employee-oriented environmental protection program "BLUE up the Earth".
Capture the BLUE Together
The program started with a photography competition, "Capture the BLUE Together", in mid-March. On 22 April the photo themed "haze change in Guangzhou" was declared the winner. The selection was based on two dimensions, employees' votes and evaluation by a panel of professional judges, and the winner received the highest scores in both dimensions.
Spend Earth Hour Walking
On the evening of 28 March, Infinitus organized the Earth Hour activity for the fifth consecutive year among its offices in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia. Infinitus called on its employees to spend the one hour walking, to practise the company's health philosophy of "Daily Walk for 10,000 Steps".
Share Tips to Save Electricity
In late March, Infinitus launched the LKK Health Products Group Electricity-Saving Brochure. This measure aims to popularize electricity-saving knowledge among employees, motivate them to share the brochure to family and friends, and invite the general public to utilize the methods recommended in it to reduce energy consumption.
Furthermore, from late April onwards, Infinitus employs its internal digital platforms to remind its employees in all regions to switch off all electronic devices and lights when punching out for the day to jointly build a low-carbon office environment.
