The Nordic Lighthouse represents Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The exhibition will showcase the unique life of the Nordic people to all the visitors through special effects with water, light and clouds.

LEGO is from a distant fairy world -- Denmark. In the LEGO exhibition area, visitors will not only find the history of LEGO, but also some rare LEGO models from a half-century ago. All visitors will be sure to leave with a deep impression of LEGO's classic design. At the same time, visitors can enjoy the LEGO model builder building of the Little Mermaid with LEGO bricks.

The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt," meaning, "play well." It's the company's name and its motto. With more LEGO toys to play with than ever before, it has never been easier to bring imagination to life.

The LEGO brick was patented in Copenhagen in 1958, which consequently laid the foundation stone for the global success story of the colourful building element. The bricks can be combined, taken apart, and put back together again in an infinite diversity of combinations, and there are no limits to the LEGO builder's imagination. Children's rooms all over the world are now practically unimaginable without LEGO bricks, which have accompanied generations of children in their journey to adulthood. Everyone is welcome to enter a universe of unlimited fun, imagination and creativity - LEGO(R) toys.

Children all over the world have played with LEGO bricks for the past over 50 years, and LEGO is still right at the top of many wish lists - just as it always has been. Industry and trade associations also recognize the LEGO success. Just before the turn of the millennium the LEGO brick was voted "Toy of the Century," one of the highest awards in the toy industry.

"Only the best is good enough," was the motto of Ole Kirk Christiansen, founder of the company and inventor of LEGO bricks, and today the company still strives to embody that spirit in every way it operates. This means that LEGO does its best to make a positive impact in every way it can.

During the 2010 Shanghai Expo, LEGO will bring a lot of building games to children from all over the world. Kids can play with models such as little Haibao, the China Pavilion and some other Expo models. Besides that, kids can also exhibit models built by themselves in the LEGO Exhibition area. We hope it will bring happiness to all the children and allow them to learn more about the Shanghai Expo.
