LAS VEGAS, Jan. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The second annual EB-5 conference is taking place in Las Vegas this weekend, a gathering of stakeholders in the program designed to attract foreign investment to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation, expansion and growth, and provide citizenship for investors. Congressman Jared Polis, chair of the NewDem Coalition's Immigration Task Force, and sponsor of The American Entrepreneurship Investment Act of 2014, will serve as keynote speaker on Saturday evening. United States Senator Rand Paul, also a proponent of the EB-5 program, will be in attendance to meet with program sponsors.
Seattle Family Regional Center, represented at the conference, is a general partner in the Hotel at Southport on Lake Washington, an EB-5 investment opportunity. In an interview with ContextChina in Nov 2014, Washington Governor Jay Inslee discussed trade between Washington and China as increasing 230 percent since 2004. "We export nearly $6 billion in goods and services. We are working hard to showcase the unparalleled opportunities for expansion, growth and investment in Washington State through investment programs such as EB-5."
