BEIJING, Sept. 25 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Linktone Ltd. (Nasdaq: LTON or the Company), one of the leading providers of wireless interactive entertainment services to consumers and advertising services to enterprises in China, today announced that the audit committee of its Board of Directors has appointed the accounting firm of Grant Thornton, the Hong Kong member firm of Grant Thornton International ("Grant Thornton"), to serve as the Company's independent registered public accountants with immediate effect. Grant Thornton replaces PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian CPAs Limited Company ("PwC") following the termination of client auditor relationship between the Company and PwC. PwC acknowledged and confirmed the client auditor relationship with the Company has ceased in writing on August 12, 2008. Neither the Company nor its Board of Directors is aware of any disagreements with PwC on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statements disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure in connection with its audit and audit-related services provided prior to such termination.
