SHANGHAI, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MEDTEC China South 2015 came to a successful conclusion on April 21. As an extension of MEDTEC China 2015, MEDTEC China South has been recognized by industry insiders through its professional and global attributes, standing out as a key event for the medical device manufacturing industry in Southern China. After many years of challenges, this year marks the successful return of the MEDTEC brand to Shenzhen 10 years after the event first debuted there in 2005.

MEDTEC China South 2015 attracted 2,971 professional visitors from 24 countries and overseas regions, and brought together 76 exhibiting brands from the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore and China and other countries and regions. During the two-day exhibition, the organizers prepared content-rich conferences and forums for over 600 participants from the healthcare industry.

Based on the global influence of the MEDTEC brand, many long-time exhibitors also attended MEDTEC China South.

Alongside the trade show itself, MEDTEC China South prepared content-rich conferences and forums for manufacturers, including the 3rd Biomaterials Innovation Conference BIOMED, the 5th Interventional & Implanted Medical Device Conference IIMD, and the MEDTEC Innovation Technology Forum, providing additional opportunities for medical innovation exchange. Furthermore, to match the features of Shenzhen's export-oriented economy, MEDTEC cooperated with NAMSA -- the world's leading medical device contract research organization -- to convene the Medical Device Regulations & Testing Forum, thereby assisting Chinese enterprises to venture abroad. MEDTEC joint development of Made In China 2025
Recently, the State Council announced the Made in China 2025 initiative to improve innovation ability and industry level, and focus on breakthroughs and application of new technologies including high-quality medical equipment such as imaging equipment; high-value medical consumables such as biodegradable vascular stents; m-health such as wearable devices; and creating 3D-bio-printers. As a Chinese extension of the MEDTEC trade show series, which gathers the world's leading medical device design and manufacturing players, MEDTEC China and MEDTEC China South will create an era of prosperity in the medical industry with Made in China 2015.
2016 exhibitor registration is coming!
Many exhibitors and visitors at MEDTEC China South expressed their satisfaction and decided to participate in the next show in 2016. This year 76% of exhibiting companies rebooked space onsite. MEDTEC China South 2016 will be held once again on April 20-21 2016 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center.
Furthermore, medical device manufacturing suppliers and R&D companies can prepare to attend another key event of the MEDTEC China series. MEDTEC China 2015 will be held on September 22-24 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
