LONDON and BEIJING, October 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- NetQin Mobile Inc. ("NetQin" or the "Company") (NYSE: NQ), a leading provider of mobile security and productivity applications, today announced that it has appointed technology expert Geoff Casely as its new Managing Director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Mr. Casely will be based in London, leading NetQin's business development in EMEA, building strategic partner relationships to ensure consumers have access to the best mobile security products.
Mr. Casely brings to NetQin a wealth of leadership experience from his extensive career in a range of global technology sectors, including mobile, digital media, and e-commerce, both in the EMEA region and internationally. Over the last 20 years, he has led business development teams for numerous start-up and rapid growth companies. Recently, he developed strategic alliances with major device vendors, operators, and key distribution channel partners as vice president of global business development for Nimbuzz (Naspers).
"We're excited to have Geoff join our team," said Dr. Henry Yu Lin, NetQin's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "His expertise is perfectly suited to expand our global reach and help us deliver the best mobile protection to our customers."
Mr. Casely's decision to join NetQin was significantly influenced by the recent opening of the NetQin Security Research Center in Raleigh, N.C. The center is dedicated to identifying and monitoring mobile security threats before customers - or competitors - even know they exist. The hiring of Mr. Casely and the opening of the center represent NetQin's latest investment in fighting mobile threats across the globe.
"NetQin offers a truly impressive mobile security and productivity product range, and I look forward to developing partnerships that enhance and enrich our security offerings while broadening potential markets," said Mr. Casely.
