New Appointment in India Prepares Reuters for Consumer Media Push

BOMBAY,India, Feb.14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Reuters (LSE: RTR; Nasdaq: RTRSY) has appointed Saurjyesh SN Bhaduri General Manager for the direct-to-consumer media business in India. Bhaduri joins Reuters from Hindustan Times (HT) where he served as Vice President -- eBusiness, playing a leading role in the online expansion of the HT Group.

Prior to The Hindustan Times, Bhaduri worked at MSN (India) where he managed advertising sales. He also previously worked for ESPN Star Sports, running regional distribution.

At Reuters, Bhaduri will oversee all aspects of Reuters consumer business and operations in India. He will manage the continued expansion of Reuters consumer efforts in India and he will have responsibility for day-to-day business liaison with the management at TimesNow, a joint venture between Reuters and Bennet & Coleman.
