Plans to Expand Elite English Centers into Additional Major Chinese Cities
BEIJING, Jan. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc. (NYSE: EDU), the largest provider of private educational services in China, today announced that it will enhance its Elite English programs by introducing state-of-the-art English language training software and developing new supplementary teaching materials.
New Oriental's enhanced Elite English programs, which offer a combination of self-study computer-based learning and small group classes led by New Oriental's highly trained teachers, will incorporate DynEd International Inc.'s proprietary English language training software and accompanying teaching materials co-developed by the two companies. New Oriental will license DynEd's English language training software in mainland China for a period of 6 years and will also collaborate to explore other high-growth opportunities in China's private education market including professional certification and vocational training.

New Oriental's Elite English programs are designed to meet the nascent demand for high-end, personalized English language training among China's high-income individuals, and children of high income families. Currently, New Oriental operates 5 Elite English centers in Beijing and plans to expand the program into a number of affluent tier-one and tier-two cities during the next two years.
